Do you suffer from one of these? We can help you!

Neck pain

Neck pain and associated headaches can be caused by several structures. Discs, ligaments, joints, nerves and muscles can all contribute to pain felt in the neck area and/or referred pain down the arm. A full assessment is carried out to ascertain which structures are at fault and why, be it from an acute incident like a whiplash injury, or a more chronic problem caused by poor posture or a biomechanical imbalance.

Back pain

A common problem in modern society, back and lower back pain can be a debilitating problem. Because it settles into a chronic pain pattern so quickly, treating back pain is no simple matter and needs to be addressed from all angles – mechanically and biopsychosocially. We offer a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan according to the above, as well as advice on sustainable lifestyle adjustments to manage and/or prevent back pain.

Joint pain

Every joint in the body can be affected by pain and inflammation, either due to acute injury, overuse or incorrect biomechanics. The majority of chronically painful conditions at joints such as the hips, knees, shoulder and elbows have some sort of driver, a problem or dysfunction further up or down the biomechanical chain which is the ultimate cause of the current pain felt. We aim to identify these ‘drivers’ and solve the problem in its entirety, not just treat the symptoms at the site of pain. Conditions include patellofemoral knee pain, tennis- or golfer’s elbow, shoulder impingement syndromes, repetitive strain injuries at the wrist and hand, chronic ankle pain, bursa and tendon problems and pain caused by degenerative diseases such as arthritis.

Sports injuries

Part of being an active individual, be it on a recreational or professional level, is dealing with injuries. We aim to diagnose quickly and effectively, in order to start with the correct treatment regime immediately. The goal is not just to minimise the time spent away from the playing field/track, but to identify possible underlying factors which may have contributed to the current injury. We are passionate about preventing injuries before they happen and to this end, utilise detailed biomechanical assessments to find possible problems before they result in acute injury. Examples of conditions treated include strains/sprains/tears of muscles, ligaments and tendons as well as rehabilitation after immobilisations.

Pre- and post operative care

When going in for any type of surgery to repair muscles/ligaments or replace joints, the surgery itself is only a part of a successful outcome. We aim to not only help you to recover quickly from your operation through targeted rehabilitation, but also to ensure that you are stronger than you were before you went in.

Respiratory conditions

Respiratory physiotherapy aims to help clear up and relieve the symptoms of conditions associated with the lungs and sinuses. We utilise nebulisation, percussions and breathing techniques to help resolve these problems.
